I am a graphic designer and a graduate of The University of Akron.
Good design is something that has interested me for as far back as I can remember, and to be honest... I have a pretty good memory. I can still remember the agony that I would go through as a kid endlessly flipping through a skateboard catalog knowing I had to narrow it down to that one design I liked the most. And as much as I dreamed of one day becoming a professional skateboarder and having my own skateboard decks, I was always just as intrigued that someone out there was lucky enough to be creating artwork that would end up on a skateboard. Although none of the board designs that covered page after page of my notebooks in elementary school ever ended up on a skateboard, I still get that same excited feeling I did as a kid just thinking about the endless possibilities that come with creative design. Whether it is taking multiple trips in a day just to drive past a billboard that I designed or seeing a design go live, this is the feeling that reminds me each day that I am truly lucky to be a designer.
After graduating with a Bachelors of Art in Graphic Design from the University of Akron in Ohio, I immediately began testing my design abilities working with prestigious clients like Goodyear, Firestone, and the University of Akron. With a few years of design experience in the world of print advertising and production, I moved to Wilmington, Nc and worked for a web design firm from 2009-2023. Here I became Creative Director / Lead Designer creating hundreds of website designs, logo designs, email and social media marketing designs and more.
